Making your own almond butter is incredibly easy and only takes a few steps. There are 2 ingredients: whole raw almonds and salt, that’s it!
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Take 3 cups of whole raw almonds and place on a sheet pan. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes. Remove the warm almonds from oven and place directly into a food processor along with 1/2 tsp salt. Pulse for 15-20 minutes until you have a butter consistency. At first the almonds will break down into meal. Then it will start to look clumpy and dry, keep pulsing and scrape down the sides every few minutes or so. At some point you might think they will never get creamy, but be patient, it will happen!
Transfer almond butter to an airtight container or jar and store in the fridge.
