How to Make Keto Bang Bang Cauliflower

Wash and cut your cauliflower into bite size florets.  Dry them thoroughly with paper towels.

Dip each floret into the egg, make sure you drain off any excess egg.

Pour the Keto bread crumbs into a mixing bowl and whisk in the smoked paprika.

Then dip into the bread crumbs, lightly coating with the mixture.

You’re looking for just a very light coating. This will render the most crispy and delicious crunch!

Heat a large nonstick skillet to medium heat.  Don’t crowd your skillet because you want room to be able to flip them over easily.

Fry the cauliflower in small batches for a few minutes on each side or until golden.

Allow the cauliflower to drain on paper towels, while you fry the next batch.

Next comes the fun part! Drizzle the bang bang sauce over the top and serve.

What is Bang Bang Cauliflower?

Bang Bang Cauliflower is a nod to the famous Bang Bang Shrimp you’ve probably heard of from Bonefish Grill. It was one of one of my favorite foods prior to Keto, so I knew I had to make a Keto version of the sauce to serve with Keto friend shrimp. They turned out amazing so that’s when this scrumptious Bang Bang Cauliflower idea was born.

Bang Bang Sauce is a dreamy creamy mixture that has a nice combination of spice from Sriracha and other ingredients that truly make it the most amazing condiment.

Bang Bang Cauliflower takes ALL those same amazing flavors and adds them to fried cauliflower florets.

Is Bang Bang Sauce Keto?

Traditional Bang Bang Sauce usually has some sort of sugar or honey added to it that really drives up the carb count making it not a good option for those on Keto or those on low sugar diets.

The homemade Keto version listed in this recipe uses Swerve sweetener instead, making it a low carb and Keto friendly sauce! It packs so much flavor, a little sauce goes a long way. It’s absolutely amazing with these Bang Bang Salmon Cakes and in this Bang Bang Spicy Slaw.

What Goes With Bang Bang Cauliflower?

Honestly, it is wonderful all by itself! It’s great served as an appetizer. Or if you’re wanting a meatless lunch, you can use this Bang Bang Cauliflower in a lettuce wrap or serve it on top of a salad!

If you want to serve it as side dish, it goes so well with most any Keto main dish. Serve it along side this Cheeseburger in a Bacon Weave Bun, a juicy grilled steak or even these gluten free Chicken Tenders.

With its versatility, the way in which you can incorporate cauliflower into your regular menu rotation is endless. But, did you know just how nutritious cauliflower is? Take a look!

Vitamins and Minerals in Cauliflower

Cauliflower is an excellent source of vitamins C, K, B6 and Folate. It contains a significant amount of antioxidants as well. But it doesn’t stop there! Cauliflower actually contains some of almost every vitamin and mineral that you need. It’s just that healthy!

Carbs in Cauliflower

Not only are there a lot of vitamin and mineral benefits, it’s super low in carbs as well! For a whole cup of raw cauliflower, there are 5 total grams of carbs! Next time you are craving a snack, raw cauliflower dipped in a little Bacon Ranch Dressing is a very tasty and low carb choice.

Fiber in Cauliflower

There are 3 grams of fiber in one cup of cauliflower, which is 10% of your daily needs. Because if it’s so high in fiber it brings the net carbs for a cup of raw cauliflower to just 2 net grams!
