    ☑️ Storage Instructions

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. You can keep them in the fridge for a few extra days.

You can also freeze them for several months. Wrap brownies in plastic wrap to prevent freezer burn. Then, drop them into a freezer-friendly container. Thaw at room temperature before serving.

💡 Tips for Making Keto Brownies

    • Room temperature ingredients: Allow ingredients like eggs and butter to come to room temperature before mixing. This helps your brownies bake evenly.
    • Gently melt the chocolate: When melting chocolate, do it gradually, using short intervals in the microwave. Stir frequently to prevent burning. You want to also use a very clean and dry bowl to prevent the chocolate from possibly seizing.
    • Mix until just combined: Mix the batter until just combined after adding the dry ingredients. Overmixing can lead to dense brownies.
    • Line the baking pan: Make removing them easier by lining the baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
    • Cool completely:  These brownies will be tender when they are still warm. To prevent them from crumbling, allow them to cool completely in the pan before cutting.

    🔄 Add-ins and Serving Suggestions

    • Fresh berries: Give the cooled brownies a dusting of sugar substitute and top with fresh berries.
    • Caramel sauce: Plate, then drizzle your brownies with some of this sugar-free Salted Caramel Sauce.
    • Chocolate sauce: For even more chocolate flavor, drizzle them with this homemade Keto Chocolate Sauce.
    • Trifle style: Cut the brownies into small chunks and add them to a trifle dish with homemade sugar-free whipped cream and chocolate sauce or a drizzle of this homemade Strawberry Sauce.
    • Ice Cream: Nothing goes better with brownies than this Coffee Chip Ice Cream, Butter Pecan Ice Cream or this Chocolate Ice Cream. They're all sugar-free!
    • Frosting: Feel free to add your favorite Keto frosting to the cooled brownies. This Peanut Butter Frosting and this Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting are great choices.
    • Chocolate chips: Add a handful of extra chocolate chips into the batter right before baking. It will leave little pockets of melted chocolate throughout the cooked brownies.
    • Nuts: Of course, chopped nuts are always great in brownies. Toasted pecans or walnuts are great choices.

    Is Cocoa Powder Keto-Friendly?

Yes, unsweetened cocoa powder is generally considered keto-friendly. Just make sure to choose a brand without added sugars.

Can I Substitute Almond Flour with Coconut Flour?

While there are some great coconut flour recipes out there, substituting almond flour with coconut flour can significantly alter the texture of these brownies. Almond flour provides moisture and a fudgy texture, while coconut flour tends to absorb more liquid. I recommended that you stick to almond flour for this recipe.

Can I Use Regular Sugar Instead of Monk Fruit/Allulose?

Sure. You can use regular sugar if you're not following a low-carb or keto diet. Keep in mind that the carb-count will increase significantly.

Is Instant Coffee Necessary for the Recipe?

Instant coffee enhances the chocolate flavor, without actually tasting like coffee. But it can be omitted if you don't have any on hand.

Can I Use Dark Chocolate Instead of Milk Chocolate Chips?

Absolutely! Dark chocolate chips instead of milk or semi-sweet can be a delicious alternative, and it adds a more intense chocolate flavor.
