    What Goes with Roasted Cauliflower?

Roasted, or in this case air fryer, cauliflower recipes go with just about any main dish you want to serve it with. If you are watching your carbs and are looking for some ideas for low carb or Keto entrees to serve with this cauliflower, here are some really popular options:

    • Grilled Chicken with Rosemary Citrus Glaze
    • Pork Chops with Bacon Mushroom Gravy
    • Pan Seared Filet
    • Baked Salmon in Foil
    • Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Tips for Buying and Storing Cauliflower

Another wonderful thing about cauliflower is, even though cauliflower is best during the winter months, it is available year-round in almost every grocery store. Here are a few things you should look for to ensure you get the freshest cauliflower every time.

    • When you are choosing cauliflower from the store, choose a creamy white, medium-sized head. When you pick it up, it should feel heavy for its size.
    • If the surface appears grainy and has gaps between the florets, that is a sign if over maturity.
    • You’ll also want to avoid heads that have bruises or dark patches because that typically indicates it has been poorly handled or could be a sign of mold. You definitely don't want that!
    • Once you get your cauliflower home, unwrap it from the cellophane it's purchased in. Place it in a plastic bag and store it in the refrigerator. It should stay fresh for about a week if kept properly.

Is it Necessary to Boil Cauliflower Before Cooking?

Absolutely not. In fact, for best results, if you want that slight crispiness the air fryer gives the cauliflower florets, it is recommended you use freshly cut.

Is the Air Fryer Good for Keto Diet?

The air fryer's main purpose is to give you the same texture of fried foods without having to deep fry them. Since most deep-frying oils are inflammatory, the air fryer is great for creating low carb and healthier versions of some of your favorite foods.

    Is Cauliflower Healthy?

Cauliflower is SUPER healthy! It's packed with fiber, and many vitamins and minerals, including potassium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, calcium, sodium, zinc, folate, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins B complex, C, K and E!

    closeup of air fryer cauliflower

What is the Best Air Fryer?

I used my Power Air Fryer Oven (with the racks) to make mine, but you can use any air fryer you have.  What I love about the Air Fryer Oven is that you never have to flip anything you bake, because the air circulates around everything perfectly!

It has 3 racks that will fit a good amount of food on them!  But it also comes with skewers, fry basket (great for nuts) and a rotisserie rack that rotates!

I also use these silicone mitts for removing the racks while they're hot. They're nice and slim, so you can easily fit your hand in there to retrieve the racks.  I absolutely love them!

If you have another type of air fryer, you can certainly use what you have. Just be sure to follow the instructions per the manufacturer and the cooking temp/time should be the same.

I used broccoli instead of cauliflower, because that is what I had in my fridge, and it was also great. Can’t wait to try the cauliflower.

I always recommend that you enter the ingredients they use in you own tracker so you will have accurate macros. Mine values are based on a % the recipe makes. However, this recipe serves 4, and it uses one medium head of cauliflower, the serving size would be about a quarter of the head of cauliflower. Depending on the size of the cauliflower, this would be approximately 1 cup of florets per serving. For the remoulade sauce, with a total yield of about 1/3 cup, each serving would get around 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of sauce.
