How to Make Almond Joy Low Carb Chocolate Mousse
Add the mascarpone cheese and coconut cream to a large mixing bowl and whip togethering using a hand mixer.
Add in the remaining ingredients.
Continue mixing until everything is well combined, smooth and creamy.
Chill the Keto chocolate mousse in the fridge until it has firmed up some. If it is a little too stiff add a little more heavy cream to it to loosen it slightly. You want it to be a thick mousse consistency.
When you're re ready to serve it, you can get a little fancy and transfer it to a piping bag and pipe into a bowl with your favorite tip!
To make this Keto dessert complete, top the mousse with toasted slivered almonds, shredded coconut and the optional chopped chocolate.
You can serve this family style or serve in individual serving cups for a special little added touch.
Keto Almond Joy Mousse is an amazing dessert option for any night of the week or even for those special occasions when you want an easy recipe but one that will impress your guests.
The Coconut Cream
This recipe uses full fat canned unsweetened coconut cream. It comes ready to go and should be solidified. If you can't find coconut cream, you can use full fat canned unsweetened coconut milk instead, but you'll need to get it ready the night before, let me explain how.
Refrigerate the can overnight so that the cream separates from the water and solidifies. The cream at the top is what you want. It will lift right off the coconut water easily.
It should be thick and creamy. Once it has separated, measure out a cup of the cream for the mousse. If you have left over cream, freeze it in ice cube trays or mini silicone muffin cups and then put them in a freezer bag for future use.
Are There Carbs in Mascarpone Cheese?
Mascarpone cheese is a low carb creamy Italian cheese. It is similar to cream cheese but has a milder flavor. It also has more fat but less carbs than cream cheese.
There is only 1 net carb per 2 ounce serving of Mascarpone cheese. It's truly the perfect Keto cheese choice.
If you can't find Mascarpone cheese, no worries, cream cheese works well as a substitute. Be sure and adjust macros accordingly.
Wholesome Yum's Besti Powdered Allulose is my absolute favorite allulose to use! It has perfect texture and far exceeds anything else I've ever tried. Use code: KCC10 to save 10%.
What is Powdered Allulose?
Allulose is a natural powdered sugar substitute that has zero calories, zero net carbs, and zero glycemic index. Allulose works wonderfully in Keto desserts when you need a smooth texture like in this low carb mousse or in Keto frostings.
If you don't have Allulose, you can use ¼ cup of Swerve Confectioners. Taste the mousse before chilling to see if it needs a little more Swerve, if so, then add a little more.
Is Coconut Keto?
Yes! Unlike many other fruits that are high in carbs, coconuts are mostly fiber and fat. There are only 6 net carbs per cup of unsweetened coconut.
Even better, the fat found in coconuts is MCT (medium-chain-triglycerides), which promotes a feeling of fullness and has been linked to other healthy benefits. If you would like to know more about the benefits of coconuts, read this informational article.

Any suggestions to replace the mascarpone cheese? Our grocery store doesn't have it. Thanks!
Keto Cooking Christian
Cream cheese will work. It has a slightly different taste and texture, but I use the two interchangeably in a good many recipes.
