☑️ Storage Instructions

Can Buffalo Chicken Dip Be Frozen?
Yes, you can certainly freeze it. Be sure to place leftovers in an airtight container before freezing.
To thaw, just place the container in the fridge overnight, before reheating in a 350°F oven until warmed through. You can also heat it in the microwave if you'd like.
💡 Tips for Making Buffalo Dip
- Make sure the chicken is finely shredded. If the pieces are too large, it will be more difficult to scoop up the dip. My favorite way is to use a hand mixer to shred the chicken and it takes just a couple of minutes.
- Make your own blue cheese dressing. It's Keto friendly and absolutely delicious.
- Use room temperature cream cheese, sour cream, buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing. This will help the sauce whip up better.
- Try to shred your own cheddar cheese. Store bought packaged shredded cheese tends to have anti-caking agents. I use a box grater for this, and it takes just a few minutes. Putting the block of cheese in the freezer 10 minutes prior, makes it super easy to grate.
- Make your own buffalo sauce, it's very easy, see how in this recipe. If you are pressed for time, you can certainly use store-bought.
🔄 Substitutions and Additions
- To save time, you can use rotisserie chicken, instead of cooking your own.
- If you don't like using all cheddar cheese, you can use a mixture of pepper jack, Monterey Jack, Colby or any cheese that melts well.
- Want even more heat? Add some sliced jalapeño peppers or if they are a little too hot for you, try using pickled jalapeños instead.
- If you don't like blue cheese dressing, and as painful as this is for me to say, you can use ranch dressing instead.
- Scallions and also be substituted for the chives, if that's what you have on hand.
What is Buffalo Chicken Dip Made of?
This recipe for low carb buffalo chicken dip has all the classic flavors that you would find in buffalo wings. Chicken, buffalo wing sauce and blue cheese are the key ingredients. Then I added other components for flavor and creaminess.
What Can I Use Instead of Chips in Buffalo Chicken Dip?
If you cannot find or make your own Keto friendly tortilla chips, there are a number of raw veggies that you can use instead. I've listed some of my favorites above.
Do You Eat Buffalo Chicken Dip Cold or Hot?
This buffalo chicken dip is meant to be served hot. It becomes more solid once it cools, which doesn't make it easy to dip into.
How Long is Buffalo Chicken Dip Good in the Refrigerator?
You can store this buffalo dip in the fridge for 3-4 days.

Oh My Goodness this hit the spot! I was looking for something light for dinner and had a taste for buffalo wings but since I don't have any wings in the freezer I decided to make this buffalo dip recipe. Wow is this perfect! It is quick and easy to throw together in a matter of minutes and the taste is amazing! Exactly what I was looking for. My only problem is it is sooooo good that I ate way too much of it : )

I am SO happy you loved it! It has to be one of my all-time favorite appetizer recipes.

I am definitely trying this! That imaginary person at the beginning of your post? Totally me. I work four ten-hour days so I can have 3-day weekends to work on my blog, and by the time I walk in the door at the end of a work day I can hardly think straight, let alone make a time-consuming recipe. This kind of dinner is just what I need!
