These super easy no-bake Keto fat bombs are rich and delicious and are the perfect snack that you'll be SO happy you made when that sweet tooth hits!
Ingredients Needed For Chocolate Mocha Fat Bombs
- Grass-fed butter, melted
- Organic coconut oil
- Mascarpone cheese
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Coffee extract
- Swerve confectioners
- Dark chocolate
How to Make Keto Mocha Fat Bombs
Add the room temp mascarpone cheese, coconut oil and butter to a bowl and using a hand mixer or whisk.
Next, add the cocoa powder, Swerve and coffee extract, mix until well combined.
Add to mini muffin silicone liners (or ice cube trays) and add chopped chocolate on top. Press the chocolate down gently with your fingers.
Freeze for 20 minutes to set. You'll want to keep these chilled so store then in the fridge or freezer.
This low carb fat bomb recipe is sweet and they're meant to be almost like a Keto candy bar. If you don't want them quite as sweet, adjust the Swerve down to 2-3 tablespoons or to your preference.
Are There Carbs in Dark Chocolate?
The amount of carbs in dark chocolate varies, based on the brand. Read your labels to make sure there're no added ingredients that would impact the carb count. Because dark chocolate has more cacao solids, it is higher in fiber than milk chocolate and therefore has fewer net carbs.
Most sugar free dark chocolate has between 4 to 6 grams of net carbs per serving. Lily's is a brand I use in many recipes and they have several great low carb chocolate options to choose from.
Because these chocolate mocha fat bombs have just one serving (or a little more if you prefer) of dark chocolate for the whole recipe, each one has less than one net gram of carbs making them the perfect Keto treat.
Is Dark Chocolate Keto?
No-sugar-added dark chocolate is perfectly fine for Keto. Look for brands that are Stevia sweetened. Not only does dark chocolate help satisfy a sweet tooth on Keto, it is a tremendous source of antioxidants.
Studies show that dark chocolate can improve your health in numerous ways. If you'd like to know more about the healthy benefits of dark chocolate, read this article.
What is a Keto Fat Bomb
Fat bombs are a high fat snack for people on the Keto diet. They’re low in carbs and are used mostly to boost daily healthy fat intake. Most fat bombs are sweet can really help to satisfy the occasional sweet craving without causing you to binge on sugary desserts.
Why Eat Keto Fat Bombs?
A Ketogenic Diet consists of a high amount of fat, moderate protein and low carbs, so the bulk of our calories come from healthy fats. If we don't consume enough healthy fat, we run the risk of following a high protein diet which is not Keto!
Some people struggle with this concept, since we're been told for many years that fat is bad and we should eat low/no fat. Nothing could be further from the truth!
These fats can include butter, heavy cream, coconut and coconut oil, avocados and avocado oil, mascarpone cheese, olive oil, cream cheese to name a few. For a more comprehensive list of these foods, see my Keto Foods List! For different ideas on how to use them , check out 15 Ways to Add More Fats into Your Keto Diet.
Adding these healthy fats into our meals is key, but there are times when you just don't have enough or doesn't quite fit into a particular meal that you're preparing. Fat bombs are perfect for times like this, where you can consume one or two and get your healthy fats in your macros! Most recipes make a fairly decent amount and most often can be frozen, so you can always have some on hand!
Another great perk to most fat bombs is they double as a sweet treat, that doesn't kick you out of Ketosis! Who doesn't love a bite of something sweet, without having to make an entire cake, pie or batch of cupcakes!?

These turned out SO good. In fact, too good. My non keto family members ate them all. Next time I will make two batches. Thanks for another amazing recipe.
Oh that's wonderful, so nice to hear!!
I used cream cheese instead marscapone and it they are absolutely delicious
Fantastic, glad you liked them!
Can i use cream cheese instead of marscapone? Marscapone is very pricey.
I buy it at Walmart and it's cheaper than anywhere else. But yes, you can use cream cheese, it will just won't be as mild as the mascarpone, but will still taste great!
